So far we have explored most of the bigger, local “landmarks” if you’d like to call them. We recently went down to Rutland Waters in Oakham – a park somewhat along the lines of Ferry Meadows in Peterborough, just slightly further out, towards Leicester. Having looked it up once you’d visited you wouldn’t have said it is a drinking water reservoir. They site is very family friendly. There’s plenty of space for outdoor events and activities, not as many indoor ones. It’s a great landmark for walks and photos. I must admit I haven’t personally explored all of its beauty but I have been to several parts of the reserve and am very keen to take a look at the rest of it. I have added some more Rutland Waters photos in my gallery.
